McKee House Senior Society Member Summer BBQ 2024

McKee House Seniors Society Member BBQ:

We are barbecuing for up to 80 McKee House Society Members including their invited guests

Saturday July 13: We will be barbecuing the burgers, prep the condiment table, hand out plates/utensils/napkins, buns, serve salads, then tidy up a bit after we are done.

Included will be a BBQ meal for yourself

Everyone is invited to stay for the entertainment/dancing afterward the meal.

Mckee House BBQ Saturday July 13:

Volunteers: Please contact Mike Storey  & advise your choice of burger (beef, salmon, veggie)

• Not a public event, Foodsafe Plan not required
• Rotary has been asked to supply volunteers for prepping/barbecuing: 8 – 12 volunteers from Club
• 80 McKee House members/volunteers

City will provide BBQ & propane

McKee will supply 2 - 3 serving tables, table cloths, dishes, cutlery, napkins, beverages, cups, and canopy

McKee will provide salads and desserts

Ladner Rotary will supply 14 aprons, disposable gloves, 3 cutting boards, 3 knives, (3) bowls for onions/tomatoes/lettuce, (6) tongs, spatulas/brush for cooking, hand sani, burgers & buns for 100 persons

Before Noon: Bbq arrives

4:30 PM: Test start BBQ, set to low

5 PM: Set up & organize cooking area, set up & prep condiment area, slice onions & tomatoes

Start cooking test burgers for volunteers

5:30 PM: Doors open

5:30 PM: Start cooking burgers for members and guests

6 PM: Ready to serve (they will have tables inside the glass doors, set up with salads, buns, condiments and burgers). Rotary volunteers will be at each station to serve the salads, burgers, etc. Condiments will be self serve.

1^st tables: Salads

2^nd table: Buns

3^rd table: Condiments

4^th table: Burgers (they will give us a ticket indicating whether they are having a beef burger, salmon burger or beyond beef (veggie) burger

7 PM: Clean up

7:30 PM: Music (by Brian Zalo Band) and dancing Volunteers welcome to stay to enjoy music & dancing
