Delta Community Foundation is a charitable organization which the Rotary Club of Ladner incorporated in 1986 under the Societies Act of British Columbia. It has been the only charity that has given to all other charities in Delta for more than 35 years, through administering community donations, endowments, and community involvement by addressing local needs. It is now an independent foundation for the community.
Carlene Lewall is Vice President of the Delta Community Foundation. She was co-founder, coach, executive director and builder of Delta Gymnastics Society (1979 – 2017). Her passion is to make a difference in the lives of children by developing self esteem through physical literacy, belonging and knowing that people care for them. Carlene is also chair of KidSport Delta and board member of the Ladner Business Association, Tourism Delta and Delta Sport Hall of Fame. The Delta Chamber of Commerce recognized her many community contributions with its Citizen of the Year Award. |  |
