Rotary Club of Maunganui says good by to members of the Rotary Club of Ladner
March 12, 2013
Meeting at Mount Maunganui Rotary Club with the Ladner Rotary Sister Club.

TODAYS PARTING THOUGHT as written by Ed Klassen

With a tad of sadness, we reflect our parting thoughts today,
About Ladner Rotary Members now on their way.
They came with anticipation, will this be a good deal?
And they leave expressing appreciation, promises filled and real.

A year of planning has proven to be successful
The Canadians have been busy, anything but restful.
From Auckland North to the Bay of Islands,
To the Coromandel Pennisula, with the Upton’s drivin’.

Next the Bay of Plenty, and the hosts await
Eager to share and no time for a break.
So, day trips and tours and a lot of fun.
The good news is, there’s plenty of sun.

Rotarians in Rotorua also open their home
More meetings, more tours, even saw the Agridome.
On to the suspension bridge, then off to the caves.
The roads seem so narrow, but the driver is brave.

The Klassen party, we dined, danced and sang,
To meeting the Mayor, it came off like a bang.
Then Comvita, Kiwi 360, it’s part of the plan
Mount Maunganui beaches with amazing sand.

So, now we reflect and take time to ponder
Mount Rotarians wish you Ladner, the best up yonder.
Thankyou for your visit, and we hope you enjoyed.
Your stay in New Zealand, and the friendship deployed.

BE SAFE.
Ed
