Five for Ladner at Club Leadership Assembly

Five of our members attended Club Leadership Assembly at Douglas College New Westminster Campus on Saturday, March 29. Led by President Elect Peter Podovinikoff, PDG Leo Nimsick, President Chu Wu, President Nominee Lynn Cameron and Program Chair and incoming Director of Club Projects Jeff Norris attended the all-day event. District Governor Elect Bob Blacker and District Trainer Penny Offer planned an action packed fast paced day of club leadership education distributed by key pillars.

Public speaking, district website, secretary/treasurer, strategic planning and public relations were among the some popular sessions. Lively discussions and dynamic presentations stimulated and challenged all those who attended. The day went by quickly.

DGE Bob Blacker wrapped up the day outlining the 2008-2009 key events in his Rotary year -- Making Dreams Real. Group Study Exchange will be with England. We will also have a special northern exchange on Wildlife/nature with Nebraska. Our District Conference in May 2009 will be in Victoria and RI Convention will be in Birmingham, UK.
