Global Container Terminals (GCT) is the largest majority Canadian-owned terminal operator. It serves the world’s leading ocean carriers and shipping lines. It is a major tenant of the Vancouver Port Authority, the largest port in Canada, at Deltaport in Delta, BC -- the first semi-automated rail facility in the world.
The company facilitates international trade between Canada and more than 170 world economies through the operation of its two container terminals – GCT Deltaport and GCT Vanterm. The company has operated on the Vancouver waterfront since 1907. It collaborates in shipping and transportation with international ocean carriers, national rail companies and local truckers.
