In April, Rotary puts a focus on the Environment, one of seven Areas of Focus. Amidst all the turmoil around us, as the global population reaching nearly eight billion, protecting the environment is increasingly important.
As we become distracted by the administration of our neighbour to the south, and perhaps even as we may feel some negative impact, we need to keep our eye on the ball of humanitarian service in the world.

We empower communities to access grants and other resources, embrace local solutions, and spur innovation in an effort to address the causes and reduce the effects of climate change and environmental degradation.
We are qualified to take this initiative because we are a global group of problem solvers with diversified talents.
We have allocated $18.4 million in Foundation global grant funding over the past five years to environment-related causes through our support of community economic development and water, sanitation, and hygiene projects
