The  generous South Delta residents and business people who dropped into the Rotary Club of Ladner "Shred for Food" event on April 4, 2026 at Eastlink on Ladner Trunk Road generated net proceeds of $5024, which will go to the South Delta Food Bank and the "pantry" which the club sponsors at Delta Secondary School for students from lower income families who can take food home on weekends. 15 Ladner Rotary volunteers and three members of the Rotary-sponsored Interact Club at Delta Secondary dumped the many boxes of paper from vehicle to large bin, which, when full, was loaded into the shredding truck on sight. Thank you Ladner and Delta residents for this community effort to help our neighbours. Thank you as well to Delta-based companies, Ideal Door, Millenium Pacific Greenhouse and Fortis BC as sponsors of this Shred for Food event.
