The Christmas celebrations of more than 500 lower income families and seniors throughout Delta were made a little brighter on December 21 when they received food hampers, each with a turkey, root vegetables, canned goods, macaroni and cheese, cranberries, cookies, candy canes and bread. Rotary Club of Ladner representatives joined Deltassist and many other service organizations in the annual Christmas hamper food distribution.

The 1,500 boxes of food were prepared as Christmas hampers at the warehouse of Paridon Horticultural Ltd., north of the East Delta Community Hall on Highway 10, and distributed from there on December 21, at least two boxes to needy families in apartments of multiple storey buildings or those in the basements of single family homes.
