Having retired from West Coast Reduction, Walter Neuman has joined Rotary Club of Ladner. Walter was already a strong supporter of Rotary in the past through the activities of his daughter, Gina, who was a member of Vancouver Yaletown Rotary before moving to Cranbrook, where she is an active Rotarian. He wanted to get involved in the community and believes that Rotary is a way to serve. President Brian Coe (l) with Walter after giving him his Rotary pin.

Founded in 1964, West Coast Reduction Ltd. -- where Walter worked for 42 years -- creates safe, environmentally friendly recycling solutions for farms, feedlots, restaurants, butcher shops and supermarkets that all produce by-products that have nowhere to go. The company collects food waste and by-products and transforms them into valuable ingredients for renewable energy, animal feed, and other products.

President Brian Coe, Past District 5040 Governor Penny Offer and Denis Denischuk all participated in inducting Walter Neuman into the Rotary Club of Ladner
