Rotary Club of Ladner members give a warm welcome to Fortis (BC) Energy Inc.  FortisBC is a Canadian-owned, B.C.-based company which delivers natural gas, electricity and propane to approximately 1.3 million customers in 135 B.C. communities, and 58 First Nations communities across 150 Traditional Territories.   The company has over 2,700 employees and owns about 51,600 km of gas transmission and distribution lines and 7,300 km of electricity transmission and distribution power lines.

 

Among its various facilities is the LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) facility in Delta BC's Tilbury Industrial Park which includes a 46,000 cubic metre storage tank, enough to keep 19,000 homes warm for 45 very cold days. The facility now produces LNG for transportation, shipping and export overseas.
