Past District Governor and Ladner Rotarian Chris Offer, who is Chair of the international Rotary Peace Scholarships program, visited Makerere University, in Kampala, Uganda in early September 2022. The University is one of seven peace centers in the world to which Rotary provides sholarships for successful candidates studying peace and conflict resolution. His visit coincided with the visit of RI President Jennifer Jones. A personal side trip took him to visit gorillas in a remote forest and Murchison Falls. He shared highlights of his visit. -- photos by Chris Offer
