Former school district superintendent in Ontario, now international education advisor to several nations, Dr. Avis Glaze described the start of her career in her native Jamaica and since in the field. As superintendent she desribed how she and others worked with the principals and staff of the 25 schools with the lowest academic results among their students and how the performance of those schools improved over time. She always says, "No child left behind." Avis just returned from further consultation with education leaders in Scotland and earlier this year spoke at a global, virtual conference of educators.
