Monie Chan, who began life in Malaysia and has retired from her long career with Royal Bank, presented her classification, or career and life summary, speech to Ladner Rotary members. Monie joined Ladner Rotary last August. She is a widow with two grown sons who are pilots. She has lived in Ladner most of her adult life since moving from Malaysia with her husband and children.
Monie has been very active as a volunteer with various charitable groups and with travelling. She wanted to continue volunteering and saw Rotary as another outlet for her energy and interest in service to the community both locally and internationally.
