Delta PD visits community police offices with new Rotary donated vans

On October 1st the Delta Police Department showed off the 3 new community police vans that will be used by the CoPs volunteers. The vans toured the community police offices in Tsawwassen, Ladner and North Delta. The official "hand off" will be on Thursday, October 11th at the Delta Police Headquarters with the Mayor and other dignitaries present.

When the vans arrived in Ladner members of the RC of Ladner welcomed the new vehicles. The vans have been partially funded by the three Delta Rotary clubs.  This year’s calendar sales will support the vans.

On Tuesday, October 1st Chief Constable Jim Cessford made a surprise visit to the RC of Lander meeting to thank the club for the support of the vans. He stressed how important the vans are for the volunteers who will use them. The volunteers are excited and feel their works is recognized. They contribute to Delta being a safe community.
