June is Rotary Fellowship Month. Rotary Fellowships are international groups that share a common passion. Being part of a fellowship is a fun way to make friends around the world, explore a hobby or profession, and enhance your Rotary experience.
Rotary Fellowships began informally in 1928 when a group of Rotarians with an interest in Esperanto joined together. In 1947, Rotarians organized a group of boating enthusiasts, which became the Yachting Fellowship. And Fellowships have grown from there.
Well known among some members of Ladner Rotary is the Gourmet Cooking Fellowship or the Gourmet Club, which our former club member Wilbur Walrond and others in our community area formed. It is now based in Italy.

Fellowship for all of us means getting things done together. It leads to friendships. It is at the core of Rotary's emerging slogan -- for a long time "Service Above Self" -- now "Unite for Good".
