What do you get when you gather 30 would-be artists, lots of oil paint, a heap of brushes and one canvas? A unique and irreplaceable painting with the theme of “connections”.
The Rotary Club of Ladner held a paint social for “International Day of Friendship” as it’s regular meeting this week. A potluck dinner in a member’s home in South Ladner with a spectacular view of the Salish Sea and BC Ferries arriving and departing.
Everyone put their personal spin on the theme of the painting. An added international touch was visitors from Chile and China that joined in the fun.
Club member Ulf Ottho added his skills as a caricature artist to the evening doing a few caricatures of club members.
Watch for the completed work of art during the proposed world tour of galleries.
