Past President (2006) of the Rotary Club of Ladner, more recently of the Rotary Club of Abbotsford, William (Bill) Bramwell passed away on January 28, 2026. Ladner Rotary, where Bill spent many active years in service to the community, is remembered fondly and extends its condolences to his family: daughter, Charlene (James) Martyn; son, Michael; grandsons, Gabriel, Caleb, Luke, Jacob, and Ronan; sister, Dawn (Richard) Campbell; sister-in-law, Audrey Halbe; and nieces, cousins, extended family, and many friends. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Marilyn, and, more recently, by his cousin, Arty Lange.
William was born and raised in Vancouver, BC, and spent most of his life in the Lower Mainland. Over the years, he also lived in Regina, Calgary, Burns Lake, Bella Coola, Victoria, and Kamloops. He married Marilyn in 1971, and together they settled in Tsawwassen, where they raised their two children. Following a long career as an accountant, William retired and in 2007, he and Marilyn made their home in Abbotsford. He enjoyed cooking, woodworking, church involvement, community service, family gatherings, and time spent with friends.
A Celebration of Life for Bill was held on May 7, 2026 in Abbotsford.
