Patricio Visit

Patricio Alvarez presented an overview of our matching grant project in progress between our club and the Temuco Norte Rotary Club in Chile. Patricio gave us a geographical and historical overview of Temuco City and this area of Chile. Temuco City is about a six hour car ride from Santiago. This region of Chile is very beautiful and is surrounded by volcanoes, lakes and trees. There are many golf courses in this area.
Patricio brought greetings from Temuco Norte Rotary Club and word that they are very excited about being our sister Rotary club and developing a Friendship Exchange. The planning for the Friendship Exchange has just begun and consideration is being given for our visit to be in later winter or early spring of 2010.
At the end of his presentation, Patricio presented Peter with a Rotary banner from the Temuco Norte Rotary Club.
