Picnic in Rotary Park

Rotary Park Picnic for the South Delta "Weekend Family & Peer Support Group" was a great success.

Saturday August 17 turned out to be a very nice weather day at Rotary Park in Ladner and a fantastic picnic day for this group of disabled adults from the Ladner and Tsawwassen areas.

A group of (7) Ladner Rotarians including President Linda Cran, Rotarians Sandra O'keeffe, Stephen Strang, Sonia Baron, Linda Ottho, Irene Forcier and Mike Storey helped prepare and serve a picnic lunch for (41) family and club members.

They enjoyed a lunch of corn on the cob, hot dogs & pulled pork sandwiches, lots of different salads and desserts plus a music group played guitar & accordian for a sing along. They came in wheelchairs & walkers & with canes, by bus and by car, and they all really enjoyed themselves. Any leftovers were packaged up and they took home snacks.
