StoryWalk® is an innovative and delightful way for children — and adults! — to enjoy reading and the outdoors at the same time. Laminated pages from a children's book are attached to wooden stakes, which are installed along an outdoor path. As you stroll down the trail, you're directed to the next page in the story. Storywalks are proposed for Delta.

StoryWalks® have been installed in Canada, the United States, Germany, England, Bermuda, Russia, Malaysia, Pakistan and South Korea.
Andrea Lemire, who made a presentation to Ladner Rotary on Storywalks, chairs the Delta Child and Youth Committee (CYC), a vital link in bringing together agencies and institutions together to help young people. Her use of an evidence-based approach to children's needs helps to direct resources to where they are most effectively used. Andrea was a recipient of a Rotary scholarship that helped her launch her professional career.
