On August 13th there were a number of environmental Ladner Rotary members who decided that painting fish on the streets of Ladner was a great idea. The environmental work party was fun and we had a few young up and coming young Rotarians to help out.

To make sure we did the job right, we had Angela Danyluk the senior environmental officer at the Corporation of Delta as our contact and who provided us with the kits and what was needed as below:

- Storm drain marking kits (via DFO) available from the Corporation of Delta with up to 30 fish to be painted;

- Door hangers (via DFO) -passed out to the local businesses in the area;

- Areas to mark in Ladner (We did Elliott Street then a U towards 48th Ave and up Delta Street towards and then down Trennant Street);

- And got some youth involved;

 No stories yet about the "big one" that got away.
