Temuco Norte & Ladner Rotary Projects

Art Birk and Patricio Ramirez were the speakers on October 7 2014 on the many joint Sister Club Projects Ladner and Temuco Norte Rotary clubs.
The Rotary Club of Ladner and the Rotary Club of Temuco Norte (Chile) have a long history of joint projects.
- 2006 – Temuco Regional Hospital – Container with medical equipment
- 2008 – Manio Chico School – School equipped with computers, software for three languages and white board
- 2012 – The Colpanao Clinic Well and running water project. Water was found at 50 meters. A grant of $15,000 was received from the Canadian Government to support the project with Rotary funding.
- 2013 – Dental unit for the Colpanao Clinic Project. Shipped from Vancouver via the Rotary Help Network.
- 2014 – the Dental unit was fully operational and in full use. Art presented all members of the Rotary Club of Temuco Norte with a copy of the Ladner-Tsawwassen Rotary Calendar. They were so impressed they are producing their own calendar in 2015 as a fundraiser.
Future needs for the dental unit are an X-ray part (Cone) to make X ray unity sent 100% operative and an Autoclave
