Monie Chan has lived in Ladner most of her adult life since moving from Malaysia with her husband and two sons, now both pilots. Monie, who is a widow, retired from a long career with the Royal Bank of Canada seven years ago. She has continued as an active volunteer for various charitable organizations and enjoys travel and gardening. She has joined Rotary as another opportunity to volunteer in service to the community both locally and internationally.
Marie Liao has been a member of the Rotary Club of Old Montreal and has transferred her membership to Rotary Club of Ladner after moving to Ladner with her husband Jean Claude (or JC). Marie has 30 years of experience in international business banking with the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce then with her own company as a consultant in Business Project Management Deployment. She enjoys travelling, figure skating, golfing, and cuisine.
