About 30 Rotarians and friends from Metro Vancouver loaded a shipping container with $250,000 of used medical equipment bound for Ukraine through the local multi-club system, Rotary World Help at warehouse on Riverview Lands, the site of the former Riverview Hospital in Coquitlam, BC.

Rotary World Help is a non profit organization aimed at collecting and distributing medical equipment & supplies, dental, optical, education & sports equipment and disaster relief supplies to international recipients in need. We are a non-religious, non-political charity run by 43 Rotary Clubs in British Columbia, including Rotary Club of Ladner.

As the year ends, this shipping container is the 14th in 2023, with some going to the Philippines, Kenya, Guatemala, Ethiopia and Ukraine, which will have received eight from this year alone. Over time, Rotary World Help has shipped 444 containers of equipment and supplies to 61 countries at a total estimated value of over $155 million.
