Gene Vickers on October 8th talked about the legacy you leave behind. Often many of us never realize how we have affected somebody else in a positive way. The "footprints" are those things we do that will create memories.

He has also received the Spirit of Community awarded him as the volunteer of the year and he received the Queen's Jubilee Medal awarded from the Governor General of Canada. The Crossroads Hospice named Gene as the original Mr. Millennium. In 2006-07 Gene was awarded the Toastmaster of the Year for 2008-09 by his Toastmaster District. Gene has since earned his Distinguished Toastmaster Award, the highest educational accomplishment in Toastmasters International.
He is currently in sales with West Coast Ford Lincoln.
He has been a Rotarian for 24 years and is proud to have formed both the Rotary Clubs of Port Moody and Port Coquitlam Centennial.
Gene talked about the legacy you leave behind. Often many of us never realize how we have affected somebody else in a positive way. The "footprints" are those things we do that will create memories.
He encouraged the audience to “Think Big, Act Big and Grow Exponentially”. Gene inspires his audience to look for more in their lives. Think Big - is your goals and your dreams. Often we don't think big enough. Act Big - is to go after those goals and dreams. If you dare to think big and act big, you can't help but grow exponentially! Every day we have that opportunity to be the best we can be... should we accept less?
Gene gave several personal examples of how Rotary has changed his life. He talked about the need to “pay it forward” and do good turns and they will return to you in unexpected ways.
