For the past 15 years, Constable Mike Grandia has been a member of Delta police where he is assigned to the Youth Services Team working with "high risk" youth. In recent years Constable Grandia has been a leader in the youth program developed with Tsawwassen First Nation where he was the Delta Police liaison officer and where he continues to work with youth. Now his team is working on implementing a similar program for urban setting in local communities.

The TFN model called for respect of the community's traditions and culture in seeking solutions to community issues such as substance misuse, education, justice-based programming, youth programming, with a focus on mental health awareness, harm reduction and trauma informed practice, towards overall community health and wellness. Mike has also assisted in the development of multiple programs used throughout BC. He was joined by team colleague Constable Nathan Porter.
