The Rotary Club of Ladner has selected a representative to Adventures in Citizenship - Ottawa and representatives to RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards)

Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is Rotary's leadership training program for young people. RYLA participants are in grade 10 to 12. The weekend end training program is held at Camp Jubilee in North Vancouver – Indian Arm.
- RYLA emphasizes leadership, citizenship, and personal growth, and aims to
- Demonstrate Rotary's respect and concern for youth
- Provide an effective training experience for selected youth and potential leaders
•Encourage leadership of youth by youth - Recognize publicly young people who are rendering service to their communities
Adventure in Citizenship
Rachel Hislop-Hook - DSS Interact Club will represent the RC of Ladner in Ottawa
An annual, unique opportunity for 220 young Canadians across Canada to spend time in Ottawa hosted by the Rotary Clubs of Ottawa.
- Explore Canadian identity, shared values and the implications of the freedoms we enjoy as Canadians
- Learn up-close about our democratic institutions
- Appreciate the diversity of Canada
- Understand both the privileges and responsibilities of Canadian citizenship

- Every province and territory is represented
- Competitive process – the Rotary Adventure in Citizenship Program is recognized for the quality and the enthusiasm of the student participants
