TV Auction partners receive cheques to support community programs
 
On February 18, 2014, The Rotary Club of Ladner presented a cheques to Tourism Delta and the Nikikei Place Foundation, partners in the annual Rotary TV Auction. The cheques represented a share of the proceeds from the auction based on the donations of auction items from the partner organizations.
 
Tourism Delta was presented with a cheque for $1900.00. The funds will support the development of a new Tourism Delta website and a new community tourist map.  Kristin Bishop and Carlene Lewall from Tourism Delta accepted the cheque.
 
Roy Sakata accepted a cheque for $1300.00 for the Nikkei Place Foundation. The foundation was established by the Nikkei National Museum and Cultural Centre and the Nikkei Seniors and Health Care Society to created to support the ongoing operations of Nikkei National Museum, the Nikkei Cultural Centre, Nikkei Home (assisted living), and the New Sakura-So Seniors Residence (seniors independent housing). The archives contain thousands of items have been donated to the Japanese Canadian National Museum. All Canadians can enjoy artifacts that help preserve Japanese Canadian heritage.
