Family Ride and Rotary Pancake Breakfast

Hello Club Members, you are welcome to join Brenda, Kim, Lynn and myself Sat July 11 at Holly Park @ 8:30 am. We have a joint Rotary project with North Delta and Tsawwassen Clubs happening this weekend. Some of us will be riding with the public from 9 am to 10 am while others prep and set up. We'll be cooking and serving pancakes from 10 am to 11 am, then clean up till 11:30 am. They have requested minimum four Rotarians from each club but more are welcome. Hi all:

Just a note to let you know that it looks like our Community Ride and Rotary Pancake breakfast will take place on a nice Sunny Day!

In no particular order, here's a bit of summary of what is to take place. I will put a name beside any task that needs to be done or finished, etc. so that we know who is to do what. PLEASE reply to all if there is something missing or wrong. Here we go.......

Date and time of ride: Saturday, July 11 9am start for the ride and 10ish am start for the pancake breakfast.
We will need AT LEAST four Rotarians from each of the four clubs. Two each at the start of each of the rides and two from each club at Holly for the pancake breakfast. Many more are welcome and we encourage you to tell your club this week that we need tons of riders.
Please have your 4 Rotarians at their designated stations at 8:30am.
Rob from Caps in North Delta has generously donated a bike or gift card in the amount of $200 that we will use as a draw. Please have your club purchase "double drink tickets" so that we can give half to the rider for the draw at the BBQ and the other half will serve as a count from each location. North Delta purchase green draw tickets for your start, Tsa purchase pink draw tickets and Ladner pls purchase yellow tickets. Have them at the start at 8:30.
Jim: pls contact Rob as he would like speak to you regarding placement of your marshalls.
Rob has been in touch with BCAA and they will be on site for any technical support. Thanks Rob.
Gail to contact School Board to confirm that we have booked the school.
Gail to contact Bryan Kelly from the Tsa Rotary club to provide story coverage at the ride/breakfast.
Gail to provide list of needs that the Tsa club may have in the lock up cupboard.
Patti to confirm Purple Pirate and Michael (entertainers). What time will they be performing?
Gail to pick up and have cheque for Michael.
Rob to contact Thrifty's and purchase supplies for pancakes.
Gail to contact Lori Collicut to see if we need to send some sort of letter to neighbourhool. I can get a gang to get that done on Thurs evening???
Rob: contact Alex with any needs such as flippers, etc that we may have in our locker.
Alex: please contact Leslie to see if she can be onsite because she has food safe?
Alex: please contact Tsa Lions club as they have their boot sale on Saturday. Make arrangements as to where we can start or let them know we won't be long. They are posessive of same.

Rob to bring 4 tents. CAN SOMEONE HELP ROB WITH DELIVERY OF TENTS?
Rob to bring plates, forks.
Mike to bring donation "buckets" for donations to "Cops with Cancer".. Are you ok with that Mike?
All Clubs please bring any signage or tshirts to promote Rotary.
Alex has contacted John @ Rams football club and they don't have a griddle for their BBQ, but are looking into that and maybe next year.
Gail has been in touch with the Pres of the Lions Club and will find out tonight if the Lions will loan us their BBQ. Need someone to pick up and return to Guichon farm if this pans out.
Rob to provide gift card from Caps.
For your information, the Corporation of Delta has done a ton of promotion for us, including letter to all past participants of the Mayors Ride, flyers to churches, rec programs, etc, flyers at the volunteer dinner.
Jim: later could you provide me with a complete list (and maybe email or addresses of all of the volunteers)
