Final assault of the season on Spartina

Members of the Rotary club of Ladner teamed up with volunteers from SHARP (Salmon Habitat Restoration Program) and Friends of Semiahmoo Bay on Sunday for the season’s final attack on Spartina. An evasive weed that is spreading in Boundary Bay. Volunteers cut the seed heads off the plants to slow the spread of the weed. Without eradication it will push out native plants and animals.
