Delta Secondary School students who may miss out on food at home where budgets are tight can grab a snack before school or between classes in the Youth Room. During lunch, various healthy snacks, bagels and sandwiches are also available. Those in need can take home on weekends food purchase cards for their families.

From 5 to 30 students every school day gather with friends, meet new people, or just chill and have their lunch in the Youth Room, a safe space where all youth are welcome. Youth workers are usually in the Youth Room for any student who may want to ask questions or discuss concerns before school and throughout the day.
Youth workers Leigh Bartlett and Venetia Sylvester’s have a motto for the Youth Room: “Respect this place, and respect one another”.
