New Zealand Rotary Friendship Team Visits

On July 17 the New Zealand Rotary Friendship Exchange Team visited our club. The four Rotary couples from the Rotary Club of Mount Maunganui led the club in O’Canada. Team member Kevin Upton presented a slide show with each team member giving a little background on their vocations, family and their community.

The team members wore bright red Canada ties and presented one to acting president Guillermo.

The team’s itinerary includes a cruise in Burrard Inlet, False Creek and Indian Arm with Barry Irvine. They will travel to Seattle , Victoria, Banff and Kelowna escorted by Barry and Ed Klasin.

The club farewell barbeque is July 28.

In February 2013 a team from the Rotary Club of Ladner will pay a return visit to New Zealand.
