Field trip April 26: our meeting next week will take place at the Tsawwassen Golf& Country Club redevelopment by Shato Holdings just before residents start to move into their units, thanks to Amir at the DT&C, who is also manager of the golf club.. The Town & Country Inn will provide a brown bag lunch for that day because there are no facilities at the site. If there are instructions about access on the site they will, follow soon. So, mark your calendars and let people know about the venue change for next week.
Fisherpersons present hailed Michael Renwick’s presentation about Great Pacific Bioproducts Limited. The company process dogfish scrap and transform it into organic fertilizer. Dogfish has been a traditional curse on professional and sport fisherpersons. Now, if only the Corporation of Delta would start using this

Register for Rotary Leadership Institute: Just a further reminder that there is less than one week to register for the May 6th Rotary Leadership Institute courses at the $85.00 price. On April 23rd, the cost will rise to $95.00.
Recipe from Guess who’s coming for dinner: Hot Smoked Salmon And Artichoke Dip (Courtesy of
Linda’s friend Sandra O'Keeffe) 8 oz pkg cream cheese softened; 14 oz can chopped artichoke; 1 cup mayonnaise hearts; 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce; 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese; 1/2 cup chopped smoked salmon; 2 Tbsp chopped parsley (or 1/3 cup chopped onions 2 tsp dried parsley). Mix softened cream cheese, mayonnaise and Worcestershire sauce together until smooth. Add remaining ingredients and mix gently but thoroughly. Spread into 1 quart baking dish. Cover baking dish with aluminum foil and bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 to 20 minutes, until bubbly and golden. Serve hot or cool.

Guess who’s coming for dinner was again a great occasion for Rotarians to enjoy fellowship, good wine, good food and good stories.
DG Penny reminded us of the Rotary Friendship Exchange with D7490 (northern New Jersey) Sept. 7 to 21. This District is very close to New York City which is a great destination. If interested, contact Jane LePorte, District 5040 Exchanges Chair, leporte@telus.net The 7490 RFE group will be here June 1-15 and their first few days will be with the Tsawwassen Club June 1-5.
Our trip to Seattle is on Sunday June 19. What a perfect way to celebrate Fathers’ Day! Arturo is the organizer for our club and Paul Arcand for the Tsawwassenites. By the way, Paul has a long history of wine-making and I can attest to his earlier creations. Maybe we can convince him to give us a talk on the way, otherwise Arturo will have a free control of the mike.
