District Governor for the 48 Rotary Clubs in Metro Vancouver up the coast to Prince Rupert and inland to Prince George Jan Gisborne made her annual visit to the Rotary Club of Ladner on November 18, 2025. A member of the Rotary Club of Powell River, she spoke about the need for Rotary clubs to not only build membership, but engage and retain members through community and world service above self and fellowship and friendship developed through that service. She also participated as Past District Governor Penny Offer inducted Delta Denture Centre owner and operator Dr. Carol Le Vasseur as a new member of Ladner Rotary.
Delta Denture Centre owner and operator Carol Le Vasseur joined the Rotary Club of Ladner on November 18. 2025 Born in Quebec City and raised in Montreal, Carol started her career as a flight attendant and purser with Air Canada. She joined her husband, after they were married, on a military posting north of the Arctic Circle. On moving to BC in 1980 she started her education in Denturism leading eventually to her degree, license to practice and start of her business in 1988. She also served the B.C. College of Oral Health Professionals as a College Educator, board member, including Vice President, and Licencing Examiner. In 2012 Carol received the Hall of Fame award from the Denturist Association of B.C. She is also a member of the Ladner Business Association and was a board member of the Burns Bog Conservation Society for two years. | |
