The presentation on August 26th was from the Rotary Child and Grandchild exchange with New Zealand.

The presentation was from Lara Hayward, Michelle Dasilva and Adain Muir. Mitchell Labossiere was not able to attend. His grandfather Barry Irvine gave his presentation.
They all agreed that the trip to New Zealand and the hospitality was outstanding. There were many highlights of the trip.

Their host families shared their homes with the Canadian visitors and went out of their way to show them a unique side of New Zealand.

Highlights included:
  • Bugee Jumping
  • Building their own natural ‘hot tub’ on the beach
  • Falconry
  • Mountain biking
  • A visit to a Maori community
  • A hobbit house - where part of the film Lord of the Rings was filmed
