Hello Everyone,

On  Wednesday November 26 2025, at 9 AM we are going to install the Christmas Lights at Delta Hospital and Delta Hospice.

We are hoping to complete by 12 Noon and then have an informal lunch or coffee at either Courtyard Cafe inside the Hospital or at Kee House Cafe at McKee House

On Wednesday January 28 2025, we will return and do the light take down.  

Please sign up if you are available to help and sign up any family members that could help us.

We are hoping to have:

(1) 2 person team install the lights on the bushes & trees in front of the Main Hospital Entrance and the roundabout in the driveway at Delta Hospice

(1) 2 person team install the lights at Mountainview Manor Entrance on the side of Delta Hospital opposite to main entrance

(1) team of several persons to install lights in the Healing Garden in the Courtryard inside Delta Hospital

We are starting the new year with our first social event of 2026. 

The matinee show of "Beyond the Sea" preformed by the Sidekick Players at the Tsawwassen Arts Centre.

Saturday January 31st - show starts @ 2:00pm 

The cost for the play is: $20 per person

Following the play, please join us for Appies/Happy Hour/dinner at local restaurant. Venue to be determined (additional cost) 

Our speakers are two long-time Rotarians and Polio Warriors, Lee Harman and Winston Conyers, along with Miss Vicky – their refurbished 1931 Model A Ford.

Lee is a retired Ophthalmologist, classic car aficionado, and Arch Klumph Society Member from the Rotary Club of Arlington, Washington (District 5050). Winston is a real estate agent, a multiple Paul Harris Fellow, and a Major Donor from the Rotary Club of White Rock, BC (D5050).

 The three of them have been carrying out learning, advocacy, and fundraising campaigns for several years, including rallies with Miss Vicky from Peking-Paris in 2019 and Alaska-Mexico in 2023. They were at the recent Rotary International Convention in Calgary, presenting a check of almost $109,000USD from last year's challenge to Rotary Foundation Trustee Chair Mark Maloney.

Our Rotary Club has recently made at substantial donation to BC & Alberta Guide Dogs towards the completion of their new facility and dog breeding laboratory. Our Rotary Club was one of the founding contributors to BC Guide Dogs, at that time. The TOUR will be at their new facility at 7061 Ladner Trunk Road, Delta, BC V4K 3N3. After the Tour we will all meet for lunch and fellowship at the Boundary Bay Cafe. We will not be meeting at the Coast on Tuesday March 03, 2026, for our regular noon Rotary meeting.
